Apologue, an experience design studio founded by Tali Krakowsky, created a dynamic signage project based on cloud computing and real-time generative graphics. The public digital installation is part of the LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes cultural center in Downtown Los Angeles, which opened to the public on April 16th.
The LA Plaza Media Walkway features 7-foot x 4-foot Christie Microtile screens, which are designed to reveal, tease and provoke. For the permanent installation, active for 12 hours every day, Apologue created a one-of-a-kind, self-choreographing system that generates storytelling in real-time. The tapestry of visuals are always unique so passersby will never experience the same thing twice.
