The AIGA (Re)designAwards is a distinguished design competition that showcases the importance and innovation of sustainable and socially responsible work created by design professionals, students, educators, and businesses and organizations from around the world.
Design has the inherent power to transform behavior and shape culture. It is why designers have both a responsibility and a tremendous opportunity to use that power to ignite change and to communicate the importance of sustainability to individuals, corporations and society as a whole.
The (Re)designAwards competition recognizes design that challenges us to rethink our world and our choices. It is based on a fundamental belief that we can build a better planet through sustainable and socially responsible design.
AIGA is seeking innovative submissions from design professionals, students, educators, businesses and organizations that have achieved excellence in sustainable design.
Entry fees range from $30 for students and AIGA members to $85 for non-members per series.
The competition includes two categories: Social Responsibility and Environmental Sustainability.
To qualify for the Social Responsibility category, the design must be for a business or organization whose mission is social responsibility. To qualify for the Environmental Sustainability category, the entry must be an environmentally sustainable design for a business or organization.
Deadline for entries is July 29, 2011.
