Peggy Noakes, FIIDA, College of Fellows Chair for the International Interior Design Association announced two IIDA Members have been inducted into the College of Fellows. The two outstanding IIDA Members who have been elevated to IIDA Fellow are Peter Conant, FIIDA, AIA, LEED AP and Margaret McCurry, FIIDA, FAIA, ASID. They will be introduced and welcomed at the Association's Annual Meeting on Sunday, June 10, 2012 at The Feinberg Theatre in The Spertus Center.
Peter A. Conant, FIIDA, AIA, LEED AP
IIDA International President Peter A. Conant, FIIDA, AIA, LEED AP is the Managing Principal of Conant Architects in New York City. He has designed prestigious projects including corporate headquarters, not-for-profit organizations, and numerous industry showrooms. He frequently lectures at NeoCon, has received several national awards for his work and has been published in Interior & Sources, Interior Design Magazine, Contract Design and Office Insight. Peter is also the Past President of the IIDA New York Chapter. During his tenure as President, he recruited senior industry leadership to the New York Chapter Board, improved the financial strength of the Chapter and established a design awards program.
Margaret McCurry, FIIDA, FAIA, ASID
Margaret McCurry, FIIDA, FAIA, ASID, is a Principal and President of the architectural and design firm Tigerman McCurry. She has served as Vice-President of the Chicago Chapter and Chair of the National AIA Committee on Design. She currently serves on the boards of the Architecture and Design Society and the Department of Textiles at the Art Institute of Chicago. She has been President of the Alumni Council of the Graduate School of Design at Harvard University, a Director of the Harvard Alumni Association and President of the Harvard Club of Chicago. Her work has been published widely in architectural and interior magazines and books.
