Shaping the Global Design Agenda
This unique two-day international design policy conference will begin on the morning of Thursday 6th November 2008. At a time when governments and business are seeking a better understanding of design within the creativity, innovation and cultural agendas, the conference will provide a global platform for the high-level exchange of ideas, insights and best practice from the many different countries developing, launching and maintaining effective design polices. An international line-up of speakers and panel members drawn from governments, industry and design will address strategic and tactical issues on design policy in developing and developed economies. Closing on Friday afternoon the 7th November, the conference will seek to shape and influence the global design agenda for economic and cultural growth.
International Design Casa
The design policy conference coincides with the 'International Design Casa' - a series of international exhibitions and events sited at a number of different venues across the city of Torino. The Casa will offer a dynamic and intriguing opportunity to experience and compare the design power of cities and nations from across the world. The launch event of the International Design Casa will take place on Wednesday 5th November 2008, (and will be open to delegates of the design policy conference).
