Planet Propaganda added Corinne Schmutz as an interactive coordinator responsible for overseeing internal coordination of projects for clients that include the Center for Independent Media, Trek Bicycle Corporation, and Burton snowboards.
Schmutz previously worked in California as an independent Web designer and developer.
As a self-taught professional, she says, "I've always been involved with computers.
My dad brought home an Apple II when I was about four-years-old and I've been on them ever since."
Along with Web applications, she has been involved with podcasting from its inception and also is adept at database design and development.
Schmutz earned a degree in sociology from Illinois' North Central College.
Her prior experience includes working with a Minneapolis non-profit focused on sheltering and assisting homeless youth.
Serving as the organization's administrative services director, she was a Jill-of-all-trades providing direction and support in the areas of human resources, operations and technology.
Like many of the Planet staffers, often bikes or walks to the office.
She also enjoys organic gardening and is passionate about sustainable agriculture in the Midwest and across the globe.
