Every Fall for the past 32 years, some of the planet's most insightful and influential design leaders have gathered to share, argue, and bond at the Design Management Institute's International Conference. From October 5-8, 2008, DMI will explore Remix; what happens when you mix traditional approaches to design, identity, and branding with new ways, new tools, and new influences?
This conference, co-chaired by Jeanette Hanna, VP Brand Strategy, Cundari SFP, and Scott Lerman, Founding Partner, Lucid Brands, will present a unique platform for professionals to gain valuable learning through presentations by top thinkers and to participate with ideas and concepts that can transform careers and enterprises. Remix marks an important milestone as DMI intensifies our commitment to connecting members with a global community of design leaders.
"This opportunity to help amplify DMI's role as the international source of design management and design thinking, and as the host of premier conferences," states Scott Lerman. "Remix is building interest from a broad range of participants and collaborators who recognize DMI's value in design and business. We're encouraging people to visit, explore, comment and blog about Remix at dmi.org/remix."
In addition to conference presenters, the Remix conference will feature group workshops, DMIWorks, tackling important social issues with the power of collaborative design. DMI has also opened www.dmi.org/remix, a social networking site for DMI members and conference attendees.
DMI returns to New England for this 33rd conference to The Cliff House Resort & Spa in Ogunquit, Maine. Originally opened in 1872, The Cliff House is situated on seventy acres high above Bald Head Cliff. Because the DMI conference attracts an international audience that attend for comfortable learning and networking opportunities, The Cliff House provides an inspirational venue for design and business professionals.
