International architecture, planning, engineering, interior design and program management firm Leo A Daly announced the creation of its new Leadership Institute.
The Leadership Institute program, initiated in June 2008, specifically addresses Leo A Daly's commitment to its 1,100 staff worldwide.
The competitive program aims, through a series of learning modules, to prepare talented employees for leadership roles, and to define and develop their corresponding skills and responsibilities.
"We are who we are today because of our people. It's as simple as that," said Leo A Daly's Executive Vice President, Charles Dalluge.
"If we continue to grow at our current pace, we'll need new leaders -- leaders who live and breathe our almost 100-year-old philosophy of leadership, design excellence and client satisfaction.
With culture and continuity being so important, it makes sense to invest in ourselves and promote from within.
Our people help ensure our future."
Dr. Tammy Moerer, assistant professor and director of the Master in Organizational Leadership program at Omaha's College of Saint Mary, will oversee each learning module.
Module topics include strategic thinking, negotiating skills, client and partner relations, and trust building.
Training sessions will be through seminars, assignments, projects, and interactive discussions, and will be conducted at the LEO A DALY headquarters in Omaha.
