New Olympic Hockey Stick for Richard Mantell From Brandwidth and Zoppo

Richard Mantell, one of Brandwidth's Senior Account Managers, has started his bid for a medal in China by competing for Great Britain in the biggest sporting event of 2008 - the Beijing Olympic Games.

Richard, who has scored 50 international goals in just 78 appearances, helped the GB team qualify for Beijing by scoring one of his trademark short corner flicks in the final of the Olympic Qualification Tournament against India earlier this year.

Richard's Zoppo hockey stick has been given a new look for the games courtesy of Brandwidth.

A range of options were supplied for the screen-printed livery.

The diverse proposals included "mummified" sticks, sock puppets and pouncing tigers, however, the winning design featured a more patriotic red, white and blue approach with a Union jack formed from entwined ribbon.

This ribbon also lent itself to the stylised 'M' for Mantell at the head of the Tiger SE6 (Special Edition, with 6 being Richard's shirt number).

Having won their opening game against Pakistan and lost to Holland in their second, Team GB still has all to play for.
