Creative Concern Win Competition to Create the Identity for the Best of Manchester Awards

Issues-based communications agency Creative Concern have won the competition to create the identity for Urbis' Best of Manchester Awards 2009.

The awards that celebrate innovation in art, music and fashion, now in their third year, were this year developed to reflect the strength of the city's creative industries, specifically the graphic design sector, who were invited to enter... and design the visual identity of the show.

"The response was fantastic and the strength of the work overwhelming," says Caroline Ashworth, Urbis' Head of Marketing.

"Clearly a huge amount of creative thinking had gone into the proposals we saw which developed the brand in a number of distinctive ways, and it was very difficult to pick a winner."

After much deliberation we finally selected Creative Concern.

Their approach to the brief was extremely thorough and they came up with a unique concept and visual identity which carried through to specifics of the marketing process.
