Quadro Design Associates has designed the new HoMedics MiBody 360 personal healthcare monitoring system which is launched this week at the Ambiente Consumer Goods Show in Frankfurt.
The range comprises a combined weigh-scale and fat monitor, a blood pressure monitor and a pedometer with a PC application which allows measurements from each monitor to be tracked on a home computer.
The system allows up to six users to measure 11 different body vital signs and then, by USB connection, to see the trends on the specially developed PC application.
The whole system is the first totally integrated monitoring product and lets anyone, from the fit and healthy to those on medication to be able to track their well being.
HoMedics invited Quadro to design the system because of their detailed knowledge of the healthcare market.
Professor Phil Gray, founder of Quadro said, "previous research we carried out showed us that there is a growing market with consumers for this type of integrated product with a PC application presented in an easy to understand format."
Working in collaboration with associate software company Tebira, Quadro designed the products to have clean lines and a family look with a consistent user interface on both the products and the software.
"With this category of product it is essential to keep things as simple as possible," said Gray.
