Home to one of the greatest industrial design collections in the world, The Henry Ford announced a partnership with the Industrial Designers Society of America.
All winning and finalist designs of the International Design Excellence Awards (IDEA) will become part of The Henry Ford's permanent collection.
Celebrating its 30th anniversary, the IDEA program is the premier international competition honoring design excellence in products, ecodesign, interaction design, packaging, strategy, research and concepts.
"We are extremely proud to become the permanent home for some of these groundbreaking new ideas," said Patricia Mooradian, president of The Henry Ford.
"The amazingly creative and advanced designs from these finalists will add even greater depth to our already expansive and industrial design collection."
"We are tremendously excited to be embarking on this partnership with The Henry Ford," remarked IDSA President Eric Anderson.
"To have some of the world's best and most innovative designs to be judged - and then displayed - in a place as rich in design history as The Henry Ford really brings the IDEA competition one step further."
