Ammunition announced the appointment of four new senior staff members: VP Client Services Nick Barrett; VP Interaction Design Darcy DiNucci; CFO Peter Rack; and Director of Strategy David Summers, to its San Francisco-based office. The additions strengthen Ammunition's capabilities in interaction design, strategy consulting, and program management, as well as its finance and operations.
Prior to joining Ammunition, Nick Barrett was director of Client Services and Customer Insights at top industrial design and branding firm Fuseproject, leading North American and international customer research efforts. He has lead and contributed to the delivery of brand-forward solutions in three-dimensional and digital experiences on numerous large-scale programs for Fortune 100 companies, including Google, Disney, Samsung, and HP. He has also worked for leading design firms, including Frog Design, Sapient and Method Design.
Darcy DiNucci joins Ammunition after more than a decade developing interactive experiences for industry leaders, including Microsoft, Nokia, Sony, and the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum. Prior to joining Ammunition, DiNucci was VP, User Experience at leading design firm Method. She has consulted as an experience designer for top design firms, including Ammunition, Smart Design, Hot Studio, and Sequence to create websites, mobile applications, and electronics interfaces for Fortune 500 companies. She has also authored three best-selling books on web design, including Elements of Web Design (Adobe Press) and Flash Interface Design (Macromedia Press).
David Summers brings nearly 15 years of experience helping companies develop product, service, and communications systems across multiple disciplines, including screen interface, identity and environmental design. His prior experience includes work alongside leaders at Kohler, Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, Sony, and Autodesk. Before joining Ammunition, David has held consulting positions at MetaDesign, Landor, Salt Branding and Bedrock. David was also Director of Marketing for the fitness technology innovator Netpulse, maker of one of the first Internet touchscreen devices and a BusinessWeek "Product of the Year."
Peter Rack has managed the finance side of the advertising and design business the past twenty years for top agencies including Ogilvy & Mather, Clement Mok Design, Stone Yamashita and Studio Archetype. He managed the launch of the Aeron Chair and later, while at Studio Archetype, he led the sale of the firm to Sapient in 1998.
