DD Studio announced today that Frank Tyneski has joined the industrial design company's advisory board. In this role, Tyneski will support DD Studio's mission to advance human-centric design innovation within product design and development communities.
"Frank is a tremendous asset to our team," said Michael Swartz, vice president of sales and marketing. "His accomplished design background with Motorola, Research in Motion, and SkinIt strengthens our ability to address wireless technologies and lifestyle-driven markets where the demand for personalization is at an all-time high."
Once limited to cell phones and automotives, personalization has taken prominence as more companies recognize its competitive advantages. According to Tyneski, personalization is an especially hot topic in healthcare where the intersection of genomics and wireless technologies promises to usher in a new era of individualized patient care.
Acknowledged as a visionary by the industrial design community who has opened new possibilities in personalization, Tyneski is the former executive director of the Industrial Design Society of America (IDSA) and is currently vice president of design at SkinIt based in San Diego, Calif.
