UCDA's annual Engagement Project offers ways for designers, students and creative individuals to make an impact in someone's life.
Their words, video or design could make the difference.
Earlier this year over 100 people choose to participate in the UCDA 2010 Engagement Project on Suicide Prevention project with nearly 120 submissions.
The call: What can you create that will cause someone, at the very least, to stop and think?
The simple act of engagement can draw in the outcast, help prevent loneliness and discourage destructive behavior, and was open to university and college students, staff and educators.
Selected entries have been posted online and may be distributed freely to on-campus or public areas to highlight awareness of the important issue of suicide awareness and prevention.
This was not a competition nor was there a monetary award; the project was an opportunity to do creative work for this good cause.
