Jennifer Siegel Joins Shilo as West Coast Executive Producer

Shilo announced that veteran commercial production industry executive producer Jennifer Siegel has joined the company as executive producer for Shilo's West Coast operations. Shilo's principals, including partners Jose Gomez and Tracy Chandler, also announced their plans to expand Shilo's West Coast operations into Los Angeles, over the months ahead.

Jennifer began her career in the commercial production industry soon after graduating from the University of Michigan. Starting out as the receptionist for Crossroads Films in New York, she was named Executive Producer five years later. Next, she joined Tool of North America in Santa Monica as Head of Production in 1997, where she was named Executive Producer in 2000. For the next decade, Jennifer was an integral part of Tool's extraordinary growth, representing some of the industry's most accomplished live-action directors, contributing to the company's award-winning projects and helping Tool and its high-profile clientele successfully transition into the digital media space. Jennifer was elected to the West Coast board of the AICP earlier this year.

"I consider myself very fortunate that I had a lot of career opportunities to choose from, and as soon as I met Shilo's partners, each of whom I found to be amazingly smart and talented, joining them became the obvious choice," Jennifer explained. "The level of the company's creative work really appeals to me, and I feel very strongly that Jose Gomez, Andre Stringer, Noah Conopask and Evan Dennis all merit attention as go-to, A-list directors. I also feel that having the ability to do everything -- live-action production, editorial, design and VFX -- under one roof is the wave of the future. Bearing all of this in mind, I'm really looking forward to bringing Shilo's talents into greater use in the commercial production industry, and to helping this very cool and unique company grow to the next level."

To put Jennifer's addition into perspective, Shilo's Jose Gomez began by addressing the expansion up the West Coast. "By the time Tracy, Andre and I officially launched Shilo, we already had a long track record in the hip-hop and skateboarding worlds, and to a large extent, those worlds were centered in New York and San Diego," he began. "As things have moved forward, and as we've focused-in on directing, being central to the creative industry has also become very important to us. So, we're very excited about this next phase of our evolution, where we'll have better opportunities to build more viable working connections with the industry's major players. And to help with those goals, we feel that Jennifer is the perfect partner."

"With all things considered, Jennifer truly is the perfect fit for us," Tracy added. "Over the years, her experiences working for a director-owned company put her on the front lines with major agencies and directors, and she has also managed all aspects of the business operations for one of the world's top production companies. With Jose, Andre, Noah and Evan attracting interest as directors, Jennifer's experience and accomplishments put her at the top of our list. Her ability to spot quality work is also exceptional, as are her industry contacts and her reputation. We are truly stoked to add her expertise to our resources, and with her guidance, we are thrilled about what's to come."
