The American Institute of Architects Los Angeles announced a call for entries for the 2010 Arch Is competition.
Arch Is invites young architects and designers to share their portfolios and philosophies with an esteemed panel of judges.
Two talented winners will be awarded with a public forum and the rare opportunity to share their perspective on what architecture is with the design community. The winner will also receive a cash award.
"At this stage in their career, young architects and designers have begun forming a clearer idea of what architecture is, but they probably cannot draw an audience with whom to share those thoughts," explained Li Wen, Gensler Design Director and Arch Is Co-Committee Chair.
"Arch Is offers a much-needed forum for this new generation of architects and designers and an opportunity for them to present before an audience of peers and mentors."
The Arch Is competition is open to any design collaborations, design partnerships, or designers residing in California who have graduated from an accredited architecture school or foreign equivalent within the last 5 to 12 years.
Deadline for registration is December 17, 2010.
