Gravity announced the hire of Nic Seresin as VFX Supervisor/Lead Flame Artist, effective immediately. In his new role, Seresin will lead VFX projects from conception through to completion, and continue to work with directors on shoots. He will also oversee the company's team of technical, artistic and production personnel. He will report directly to Chief Executive Officer and Chief Creative Officer Zviah Eldar.

Seresin brings 18 years of design and visual effects experience to Gravity, and he most recently served as lead VFX artist for London/New York special effects company Smoke & Mirrors. He began his career at the Mill, followed by a widely lauded tenure at Moving Picture Company, both based in London. Seresin also worked on VFX for feature films including Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, G.I. Jane, My Life So Far and Sweeney Todd.
Throughout his career, Seresin has worked on design and implementation of visual effects for a host of renowned directors, including Adam Berg, Frank Budgen, Tim Burton, Jonathan Glazer, Ulf Johansson, Traktor, Spike Lee, Rupert Sanders, Rocky Martin, Bruce St. Clair, Peter Thwaites, Nic Gordon and many others. He has garnered awards from AICP/MOMA, BTAA, D&AD, BTAA, Cannes Lions, New York Festivals, One Show, Hatto, Silver Screen and more.
