AIA Triangle announced the 2011 Design Awards Program and Residential Architecture Tour, recognizing excellence in architectural design. The submittals represent work from architectural firms throughout a 10-county region.
The AIA Triangle Awards Program includes five award categories:
AIA Triangle Design Award recognizes area architects for overall design excellence.
Gail Lindsey Sustainable Architecture Award recognizes a built project that promotes a sustainable environment while demonstrating design excellence.
AIA Triangle Tour of Residential Architecture recognizes area architects for excellence in residential design excellence through selection for a public tour.
AIA Triangle Student Scholarship Award recognizes an NC State Architecture student project for design excellence.
AIA Triangle Isosceles Award recognizes a non-architect individual or organization who has collaborated with AIA Triangle member(s) to construct and/or preserve a better built environment.
All awards will be announced and presented at the 2011 AIA Triangle Design Awards Reception to be held on Thursday, April 21, 2011 at the newly opened North Carolina Museum of Art - West Building.
Admission to the Design Awards Reception is open to the public, $40 before April 7 and $60 after April 7.
