Katja Martini joined Woods Bagot as Associate - Aviation Design Leader, as the global studio strengthen its aviation portfolio and team. Katja's expertise in planning, managing and delivering highly complex aviation projects globally, will be injected into the Australian region, following the win of the second stage of the Perth International Airport.
"Beyond Perth, major cities are preparing to undertake significant airport upgrades across the Australian region," Martini said. "Key to my role will be imparting aviation design experience and instilling industry leading innovations such as state of the art methods and technologies, transport interchanges, way finding and commercial facilities across assignments."
Known for her expertise across high profile airport projects, Katja has been influential in the design and delivery of projects such as the North Terminal Extension and Interchange at Gatwick (UK), Queen Alia International Airport, Amman (Jordan) and the new Terminal T2 at Heathrow.
Furthermore, Katja has also been leading design teams for a state of the art competition concept design for the new Terminal 3 at Shenzhen Bao'an (China), as well as for a complex pier building and VIP facility studies at Gatwick and Heathrow respectively.
