Architectural Record will host the 9th Annual Innovation Conference, "Crossing Borders & Disciplines," on November 3 in NYC.
Attendees from across the architecture, engineering and construction industry will hear from thought-provoking speakers, such as Richard Saul Wurman, founder of the TED Conferences, author of 82 books, and a celebrated architect, who will inspire new ideas and enthusiasm through real-world examples from around the world.
"Innovation is what drives us forward," said Cathleen McGuigan, editor-in-chief of Architectural Record. "From shifting skylines to new building technology breakthroughs, the next big news in architecture is always connected to an 'ah-ha' moment by a single innovator or group of innovators.
I am excited to host Architectural Record's Innovation Conference, where we will hear from the best minds in architecture, design and engineering today."
Through collaboration, successful architects are adapting their creative ideas and technical know-how to different cultures, climates, and disciplines.
Timely panel discussions on "Doing Architecture Abroad;" "Crossing Disciplines" such as art, science and technology; "Crossing Into Product Design;" and "Team Collaboration;" will be bordered by presentations from renowned keynote speakers, including the aforementioned Wurman, as well as Bjarke Ingels, founding partner of the Copenhagen/New York-based Bjarke Ingels Group, and Thomas Heatherwick, founder and director of Heatherwick Studio in London.
