Derek Brazell, illustrator and Projects Manager at the Association of Illustrators (AOI), will present a talk on the first steps to starting a successful career in illustration at Pick Me Up contemporary art fair in London on March 28.
His talk will cover self-promotion, pricing, licensing, and copyright. Derek is also an active campaigner for illustrators' rights in his role at AOI, which has successfully increased the reputation of illustration as a profession as well as improved the commercial and ethical conditions of employment. He is also co-author with Jo Davies of Making Great Illustration.
