Interactive agency, Secret Location, has affirmed Canada's place as a global leader in the development of large-scale digital entertainment and brand experiences with an International Digital Emmy Award for Endgame Interactive, a highly engaging and immersive transmedia experience created for the Canadian procedural drama series, Endgame.
Just four years old, the Toronto-based agency has developed an impressive body of commercial and broadcast work, while simultaneously developing two technology-driven concepts into successful IP and venture-funded businesses.
"We're incredibly excited to win such a prestigious award," said James Milward, President and Executive Producer, Secret Location. "It represents a significant achievement both for our team and for our brand and broadcast partners, and enables us to work with a much bigger canvas."
Endgame Interactive, an original online episode created for the TV drama Endgame, weaves information from viewers' Facebook profiles directly into the online narrative, plunging the audience and their friends deep into the heart of a personalized mystery. The Endgame Interactive experience also features three engaging mini-games, which can be played as stand-alone experiences.
Endgame Interactive was produced by Secret Location and Thunderbird Films for Shaw Media's Showcase channel. Endgame is produced by Thunderbird Films in association with Front St. Productions and is distributed in North America by Lionsgate. The series premiered exclusively in the U.S. on the free, ad-supported Hulu and Hulu Plus subscription service.
