IIDA to Host Two Association Forums at Neocon 2012

The International Interior Design Association will host two association forums at NeoCon this year. IIDA will provide a platform for discussions of provocative topics throughout the conference and serve as an informational resource for attendees on current industry design trends.

The association forum titled "Power Think: The Who, Where and How of Work" will be 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. on Monday, June 11 at IIDA Headquarters. Participants will have the opportunity to engage with international leaders about the changes in the practice of design, new client expectations and the need for a new approach in the industry. Join some of the foremost design leaders in North America from the International Interior Design Association, Interior Designers of Canada and American Society of Interior Designers as they consider the new realities in managing a firm, increase successes and determine the future of design. This C-suite session targets firm leaders and emerging managers who recognize the practice of design is changing and are challenging the way it has also changed clients' approach to design.

The association forum "2012 and Beyond: New Directions for Government Interiors" will be 9:30 - 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 13 at IIDA Headquarters. Dianne Juba, IIDA, LEED AP, US GSA will be the presenter at the government forum sponsored by Tandus Flooring. The work environment for the federal government workforce is undergoing radical change. What are the new drivers and policies that will impact the design and construction industry? Be prepared to take note of what the future of design will bring to the government, including improving space utilization of real estate, reducing energy consumption and carbon footprint, accommodating diversity and increasing worker productivity. Leaders from various areas of government design will share their insights following Dianne's presentation.
