The ED-Awards unveiled the winners during an awards ceremony that took place at Bio Rex, an iconic architectural monument of Helsinki.
The highly qualified jury made up by editors from fifteen prestigious communication design magazines in Europe awarded a total of 29 gold and 54 silver and 65 bronze prizes in 33 distinct categories ranging from "brand logo" to "mobile application."
The Hague based "Silo", a relatively young studio, received the European Design Agency of the year distinction. The ED-Awards Best of Show was awarded to decodeunicode, a 656 page book, made in Germany, which includes illustrations of all 109.242 characters of the world.
The ED-Awards Jury Prize went to the Gummo designed "Stad van Nederland" series of stamps which use augmented reality technology, to bring five of the most innovative plans for architecture projects in the Netherlands to life.
