Leahy Brand Design (LBD) designed a new website for Whitworths to guide and encourage the increasing trend in home-baking, with lots of tips and recipe ideas that inspire and bring a little happiness into peoples lives. The website brings to life the new 'Whitworths for Baking' range of sugars hosting innovative packaging such as the easy to use 'Twist and Sprinkle,' launching this month and their new-look 'Everyday' range which has recently gone in-store. As with the website, Leahy Brand Design has created the brand story and designed all the new brand packaging for Whitworths sugar.
Whitworths' website allows the user to search recipes based on either products or occasions and events. The site has a host of inspirational ideas, making it a truly immersive and engaging brand experience.
"We'd seen how many branded ingredients companies in home-baking tend to covertly create sites that appear to be created by celebrity chefs or magazines," said Tim Leahy, managing director of Leahy Brand Design. "They can be too recipe dominated, cluttered, busy and confusing. Whitworths Sugar's whole brand story is about helping home bakers find inspiration and surprising them with good little ideas.
With the recent launch of the helpful range of sugars for baking, our design team wanted to create a site with the Whitworths Sugar brand as hero. We used delicious recipes, photography and tips - such as a sugar body scrub for example! - and ensured that clarity and ease of navigation for the user was at the forefront."
