Boundaries, a two-day symposium to be held at the Plymouth University, will provide a rare opportunity to consider the evolving boundaries of illustration, in both research and practice.
Presenting illustrators and academics will consider the impact of new technologies on editorial practice, research and practice within reportage illustration, and character development in picture books, the evolving nature of illustration from static to moving imagery and political illustration and there will be with opportunities for discussion and debate.
Children's author and illustrator Babette Cole and Audrey Niffenegger will be talking about their work and Varoom magazine founders Derek Brazell and Jo Davies will be joined by Matthew Richardson and other illustrators from their book Making Great Illustration.
