Design Management Institute (DMI) has appointed Michael Westcott as the organization's next president. Mr. Westcott will take over from Karen Reuther as leader of this international design and innovation organization.

"He was selected after an extensive international search and careful consideration of several exceptional candidates. He was chosen for his stellar and varied career in design and business."
Mr. Westcott brings to DMI a unique combination of experience in global design management, business and technology strategy, marketing and community and association management. He has led creative and marketing teams at numerous agencies, corporations and media firms, including Firebrand, Fitch, George P. Johnson, Red7Media and INXPO software.

With nearly 1,400 members in 44 countries, the Design Management Institute - DMI is the international authority, resource and advocate on design management, and a thought leader in the areas of design management, design strategy, innovation and creative leadership.
