The University of Manitoba launched an open international design competition to develop a vision for the future of the Fort Garry Campus and transform it into a vibrant and dynamic urban village.
The new Campus Plan will identify a physical planning and design framework to guide future growth and development of the Fort Garry Campus across a 279 hectare site.
The goal is to improve the campus experience and become a leader in innovative and sustainable environmental design.
This will help the university better attract and retain students and faculty, while supporting its vision to be nationally and internationally recognized for excellence in teaching and research, innovation and creativity.
The submission deadline for phase 1 is March 11, 2013.
