The New York Metro Chapter of ASID kicks off New York Design Week with an education forum that addresses Universal Design and Aging in Place.
The daylong mini expo, held at Mohawk Group Showroom on May 9, will serve as an educational forum on the importance of designing for a broad range of people, regardless of levels of ability or mobility, age, gender or physical stature without the need for adaptation or specialization.
It will include a series of seminars including two IDCEC CEU-accredited sessions, an informative panel discussion, tabletop displays from leading manufacturers as well as plenty of networking opportunities during breakfast, lunch and cocktails.
The event aims to bring all the players in the industry together to put universal design principles into practice and ultimately help every client live better.
In addition to the outstanding programming, attendees will be able to talk to top manufacturers and distributors including Hansgrohe/Axor, Stone Source, daltile and Crestron Electronics as well as leading specialists like Fabra-Cleen about their relevant product lines and sustainable solutions.
