The International Interior Design Association (IIDA) has today launched the IIDA Asia Pacific Design Awards. The competition aims to honor innovation and the highest level of design excellence in Interior Design/Architecture throughout the Asia Pacific region, recognizing and celebrating projects in 10 categories.
"The inaugural IIDA Asia Pacific Design Awards marks an exciting new chapter in IIDA history and represents a wonderful opportunity to identify the remarkable interior design originating from this region," said IIDA Executive Vice President and CEO Cheryl S. Durst, Hon. FIIDA, LEED AP.
"We look forward to seeing the vital design solutions and robust innovation that we know is part of the Asia Pacific experience."
The ten categories of the competition include Corporate Space Large, Corporate Space Small, Cultural/Institutional/Educational, Healthcare, Hotels; Municipal/Public Spaces, Residences, Restaurants, Retail, Spas/Fitness/Wellness Centers.
Projects must be located in the Asia Pacific region, though design firms may be located anywhere. Submitted project(s) must have been completed between January 1, 2010 and December 31, 2012.
The deadline for entries is August 22, 2013.
