Fostering a direct exchange between architects, designers and industry, Transmaterial is a research symposium through, across and beyond materials and materiality in the constructed environment.
Transmaterial, to be hosted by Monash Art, Design & Architecture (MADA) on July 25, will provide an interface between disciplines that enables dialogue and fosters an exchange of knowledge.
The symposium seeks to connect global issues in materials, technologies and their ramifications with local concerns in manufacturing and making.
The event also includes an exhibition running from July 17 to 27, 2013.
