Tolleson Corporate Office

When creative agency Tolleson sought larger quarters, the company chose a two-story 1910 warehouse in San Francisco's Jackson Square that could embody its rustic office aesthetic, with skylights, wood floors, and exposed timber trusses and brick walls.

Huntsman, which had also designed the previous space, bead-blasted trusses and posts to restore the redwood's original warm color and clad side walls with reclaimed wood from former barns.

New steel beams provide contrast and create room edges; a new mezzanine adds square footage. Rippled glass panels recall design elements of the first office and provide both transparency and privacy. The 11,000-square-foot space now houses a suite of spaces for client engagement, collaborative work, and technical production.
