Flirty and floral, Adhesif Clothing's Spring/Summer 2014 collection features peplums and sleek silhouettes that are reminiscent of the 1950s with patterns and contrasting colours like teal with black or creamy neutrals.
"There is a heavy influence of the 1950's pin-up movement in the collection," commented designer Melissa Ferreira. "Even the garments are named after popular 1950s references like The Jets, backseat bingo, and word from the bird."
Head to work in the Razz My Berries Blouse ($112) and then take an afternoon stroll on the beach. Spend the weekend in the darling floral and lace Made in Shade Dress ($146) or the Classy Chassis Dress ($138), while picnicking in the park or getting dolled up for a wedding in cottage country.
"I'm head over heels for the Backseat Bingo Blouse," Melissa added. "This blouse just screams 'come hither' like no other blouse we've made before. Meow!"
Or, add a classic staple to the closet with the water resistant vintage polyester, rayon, and nylon Jets Jacket ($186) or the well-tailored Paper Shaker Pencil Skirt ($118). "The pencil skirt is easily the most versatile item in a women's wardrobe, and the more curvaceous the dame, the more figure flattering it is," Melissa said.
The collection will be available starting March 2014.
