The SVA MFA in Design Criticism will host its 2014 D-Crit Conference, "Lingua Franca," on May 2 at SVA Theatre, NYC.
The conference promises a fast-paced afternoon packed with fresh thinking about design, featuring SVA MFA Design Criticism graduating students, British architecture critic and Strelka Press director Justin McGuirk and, as guest speakers: novelist and critic Nicholson Baker; curator of Design and Architecture at Hong Kong's M+ museum Aric Chen; material anthropologist and researcher Emily Stokes-Rees; and digital humanities advocate Peter Lunenfeld.
The event is open to the public, though free registration is required.
