The Pensole World Sneaker Championship is a hands-on, four-week-intensive master class created to identify and introduce aspiring designers to the art of footwear design, CMF and 3D modeling-and to find the world's best sneaker designers.
"This is PENSOLE's largest class to date. We've now expanded the program to identify 30 of the top design students from around the world-in footwear, CMF and 3D," commented D'Wayne Edwards, founder of PENSOLE. "The winners in all three categories will have the opportunity to submit their projects to global brands and potentially have their designs sold at retail."
The World Sneaker Championship will be open to 18 footwear, six CMF and six 3D design students.
To apply for entry-and to be eligible to win a scholarship to attend the class-footwear design students must submit one original design, sketched by hand in black and white or color; CMF applicants one original material and/or color palette showing use of both materials and color arrangements; and 3D designers one original 3D design. Up to three views of the same design may be submitted, and 3D work is not limited to footwear.
The deadline for applications is June 22, 2014.
