Pensole will hold four separate one-week footwear-design immersion classes, called Kicks Kamp, in Shanghai, China; Guimaraes, Portugal; Toronto, Canada; and at PENSOLE in Portland this summer. The PENSOLE Kicks Kamps are intensive design courses that teach students daily design tools like consumer profiling, storytelling, ideation sketching, proportional sketching, rendering and more. At the end of one week, a panel of judges will select the best design to be produced and sold globally.
"For the past few years, we have experienced incredible demand for our footwear design courses in Europe, Asia and Canada," stated PENSOLE founder D'Wayne Edwards. "But it hasn't always been possible for talented designers to make the trip to PENSOLE in Portland. It has always been my dream to provide this opportunity the best aspiring designers around the globe, and Kicks Kamp will be an important step in making that happen."

To apply, prospective students must submit one hand-drawn sketch (lateral or outside view) of an original footwear design in black and white or color. The original sketch must be on paper. No digital sketches will be accepted. Multiple views are optional.
