Type Directors Club has recently opened its new summer exhibition "New York Times Magazine Type: 2015 - Present," highlighting brand-new typography and innovative design used by an energetic team to bring a fresh graphic approach to this weekly's must-read journalism and commentary.
The exhibition, on view through September 5, includes covers, spreads, and special issues of the Sunday magazine and focuses on typographic highlights since its 2015 redesign. Curated by Gail Bichler, design director of The New York Times Magazine, the exhibition features the magazine's new typefaces designed by Henrik Kubel and some of the magazine's most powerful, unforgettable imagery.
