SWIFT recently created four AR concepts for HTC to demonstrate the power of room-wide computing at home without the need for screens and are based on familiar domestic archetypes, lamps and mirrors, making them more approachable.
"To fully explore the potential of AR in the home we avoided simply carrying over existing UX/UI from computers and smartphones," explained Carsten Eriksen, co-CEO from Swift Creatives. "Instead we've designed AR products that take advantage of hardware currently available but offer more valuable experiences that other devices can't easily offer. We've also used an approachable and casual Scandinavian design that fits easily into the home environment."
The AR Lamps understand and interact with 3D objects in your home, projecting digital information onto them to help with everyday tasks or simply to delight users and their family. The AR Mirrors offer a new way to communicate and collaborate using advanced video communication and a design aesthetic that fits seamlessly into the home environment.
