Studio Blackburn has designed a new brand identity for The Fisheries, a residential and working space in London Fields. The project was led by Hugo Warner, owner of Warner Cox, who briefed Studio Blackburn to create an identity that would reintroduce the historical site to locals and newcomers alike, as well as capture the modern approach of the development through contemporary graphic design.
Located in an area that has established itself as one of East London's main cultural and commercial destinations, The Fisheries is made up of 31 modern apartments and 150 workspaces. "The Fisheries was a perfect brief as it allowed us to create an identity that celebrates and revives a historical site with a rich heritage into a visually arresting brand that appeals to young professionals," explained Paul Blackburn, head of Studio Blackburn. "The new distinctive look reflects the high-quality and modern design of the development, and is ideally suited to a space that is both professional and residential."
The premium assets that Studio Blackburn has developed include a bold logo that plays on the site's history as well as a brand look and feel that fuses modern typography with classic illustrated elements. The sleek identity has been designed for a variety of brand touchpoints, including physical print items - such as a series of brochures and merchandise - and online platforms including its website.
