Jenni Sparks recently created an intricately detailed hand-drawn map of Sydney, which is jam-packed with hidden gems and local haunts. Jenni takes a refreshingly honest approach to map making by exploring off the beaten path and looking past the usual tourist traps.
Having visited the local haunts herself, Jenni has been able to capture to the essence of what each Sydney neighborhood has to offer. Everything from the local architecture, street food, typography and graffiti has been hand-drawn in Jenni's effortlessly humorous style. The map has a uniquely Aussie feel to it, including beautiful coastal vistas and references to indigenous aboriginal culture.
Having already drawn London, New York, Paris, San Francisco and Berlin; Sydney is the latest addition to the series 5 years in the making. A companion map of Melbourne will be launching later this year, and all map pre-orders come signed by Jenni Sparks.
