For the 2018 London Design Festival, illustrator Martina Paukova has created a striking display for the University of the Arts London's (UAL) 'Not Just a Shop' in Holborn. The UAL's pioneering retail space and launch pad for their students and alumni is hosting designer-maker workshops as well as Martina's playful window installation in the space during the festival.
"As a massive fan of the UAL - I did my both degrees there and also worked there part-time later on - I am super excited now to be designing for its concept store, not just a shop!" Martina commented. A selection of limited-edition products inspired by the window are also available in store.
Since launching in September 2017, not just a shop has sold 693 different lines by 60 artists and designers - all students and alumni of UAL. Due to its not-for-profit model, every purchase helps to support the next generation of creative entrepreneurs.
