IIDA has announced the winners of the 2018 Healthcare Design Awards. The Awards honors and celebrates outstanding originality and excellence in the design and furnishings of healthcare interior spaces.
"As the commercial design industry as a whole continues to place people and their needs at the center of the spaces they create, healthcare designers are paving the way forward," commented IIDA Executive Vice President and CEO Cheryl S. Durst, Hon. FIIDA. "These projects expertly leverage design as a solution - a driver of positive patient outcomes - and serve as an example to which all of those in the profession can aspire."
"It's important that healthcare facilities offer environments that promote employee productivity, patient satisfaction, and overall well-being," said jury member Michelle Clark, IIDA, senior associate. "The winning entries fulfilled these challenges and more, providing successfully immersive spaces with smart concepts that highlight the relationship between design and function," said Clark.
