All Things Urban has announced a series of events with the first one taking place at Google's London office on Feb 15. The meetup will bring together people with diverse backgrounds to share their passion for urban innovation and build a unique network of extraordinary city-lovers.
Google has spent almost $3 billion buying up property in Silicon Valley over the last two years. With a healthy disregard for the impossible, the tech giant wants to bring innovation to all the areas of urban development: housing, mobility, environment, community and economics. To brainstorm the future of cities and build a unique network of urban innovators, All Things Urban and Google are hosting a multidisciplinary event for people with a passion for cities.
The event will feature a remote talk by Michael Tymoff, Google's Mountain View Development Director, who will tell how the company plans to transform its hometown from a place for cars to a vibrant, mixed-use and walkable place for people with more than 6,000 new homes, plenty of open space, green parks and bike lanes.
The event is free and open to the public with registration.
