Stone Island has unveiled the 2019 Spring Summer Shadow Project 7019. The collection features new methods of interaction between wearer and garment; designed to adapt and harmonize with personal and environmental circumstance.
The continued search for new systems of variable wear has led to further development of Articulation Tunnels and Articulation Zippers. These functional components are implemented in new spiral and curved versions in addition to their original forms, enabling the wearer to intuitively control the volume and tension of their garment.
Other features include a removable Encase Panel, which provides additional storage and coverage, as well as the debut of the stowable Split Hood. Three distinct all-over graphic patterns are explored through three newly developed fabrics: DPM Chiné is an incredible woven rip-stop all over fabric featuring a new Shadow Project camouflage pattern. Imprint Nylon is an elegant exercise in the contrast of surface texture and tension. Lenticular Jacquard plays with angles of perception to create visually shifting fabric ideal for a wide spectrum of use.
Footwear is composed of plush perforated suede and rich leather, both accented by signature Shadow Project graphics.
