Confindustria Ceramica and the Italian Trade Agency have announced the winners of the Ceramics of Italy 2019 Tile Competition. This year's winning projects demonstrate innovative design, creative tile applications, and a strong commitment to sustainability.
Among the winning projects is tvsdesign's Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, GA - the world's first professional sports stadium to achieve LEED Platinum Certification - which features high-performance Italian tile throughout 100,000 sq. ft. of public space. Ventilated porcelain slabs cover the façade of SWA Architecture's eight story mixed-use residential building in New York, and decorate the exterior of DI Group's luxury villa in Encino, CA. Snøhetta's Central Public Library in Calgary, AB utilizes cement-look floor tile for a minimalist design that complies with exacting manufacturing standards.
