MUJI Opens Design & Retail Pop-Up in SoHo

MUJI has opened a new temporary Pop Up in SoHo that will run until January 2020. The pop up will showcase the design history of the brand as told through classic MUJI items, an exhibition of posters from throughout MUJI's history, and videos showcasing MUJI's special global initiatives, such as MUJI Hotel and MUJI Diner. The pop-up will also have a selection of homewares for sale.

The exhibition will feature a selection of posters that showcase MUJI's history of graphic design, featuring work by Ikko Tanaka. Tanaka was known for blending traditional Japanese aesthetics with modern design principles, a synthesis that effortlessly communicated MUJI's brand. Posters from the years 1980 - 2000 will be on view.

The pop-up will also include a display of the most iconic MUJI products, including pens, storage items, Aroma Diffusers, travel items, and more.
