Made Thought recently launched a pop-up in collaboration with studioshaw in London's Seven Dials which acts as a creative playground and experimental space to explore how brands are engaging with new audiences through experimental retail concepts and immersive installations. Through November 30, Made Thought will showcase a series of exciting collaborations with a number of the internationally recognized brands they have worked with over the years.
"So much of our creative work for brands are concerned with how to cultivate consumer desire and how to humanize brand experiences, particularly in a retail environment," commented Ben Parker, Creative Director and Founding Partner of Made Thought. "We've brought all of this creative thinking and experience together in the Made Thought pop-up store to create an exciting new platform to allow brands to interrogate what brand experience means today, as well as the deepening intersection of culture and commerce."
On display is Made Thought's research into sustainable design solutions and plastic alternatives, including water-soluble paper, paper made from agricultural waste, compostable cartons and acetate film made from recycled wood pulp. The studio has also developed its own product range, on sale in the store, to demonstrate its core values. These include Earth-positive, carbon-neutral and organic cotton sweatshirts and t-shirts; notebooks made from G.F Smith's recycled coffee cup paper; soy wax candles with zero packaging; polybatch shopping bags (completely biodegradable/compostable).
The pop-up store guide is printed on G.F Smith Extract paper, made from recycled coffee cups destined for landfill. For the opening, Made Thought devised a striking 'coffee cup' window installation showcasing the recycled material.
