Designed by GamFratesi for Poltrona Frau, Plot is a decidedly cool series of room dividers made of plaited leather with playful geometric motifs. Available in a range of sophisticated color combinations (ranging from cool greens like Celadon to rich neutrals like Carrubo from the new ColorSphere system), each screen balances deliberately simple forms with textural richness.
Plot can be styled as a striking statement or as a subtle accent to modify spaces as they evolve - a flexible and timely solution for homes, workplaces, and hospitality interiors. The structure is deliberately minimalist, consisting of a simple frame that showcases the central panels.
Plot's most distinctive detail is its geometric pattern, created using woven leather strips. In the Round panels, this weaving creates circular shapes, whilst the Square panels take a more angular nature, as the name suggests. The beauty of Poltrona Frau's most iconic material is conveyed in full by the intricate weave, sophisticated color combinations, and the virtuosity of the horizontal and vertical intersections which create motifs of varying density.
The structure consists of aluminum tubing veneered with a moka ash finish. The vertical and horizontal tubes are connected with metal joints in a matt brass finish. The conical caps at the bottom, also in metal, are painted. The woven strips hooked to the metal tubes are in Pelle Frau SC leather with pre-established color combinations. The possible color combinations between the vertical and horizontal bands underline the very best of the new Poltrona Frau ColorSphere schemes with tone-on-tone or contrasting effects that inspire endless admiration.
