Dutch Design Week 2021 Returns with In-person Event

After last year's virtual edition, Dutch Design Week (DDW) has announced the return of its in-person event in 2021. DDW will take place October 16-24 in Eindhoven, Netherlands.

The 20th edition of the largest design festival in Northern Europe will feature design projects with an emphasis on experiment, innovation, and collaboration in a post-pandemic world.

This year's overarching theme of the festival is 'The Greater Number,' an exploration of our post-pandemic future and a call for reflection and change.

"We learned a lot from the virtual DDW in 2020. We take these lessons into 2021, but an online event can't replace the feeling of a live festival," commented Martijn Paulen, DDW Director. "DDW stands for serendipity and chance meetings - new designers, ideas, and vistas that surprise and inspire you unexpectedly. That's what we are aiming for."
