Led by Executive Producer Brendan Kiernan, Futuristic Films has signed the extraordinary directorial talent of Daniel Junge to the company's roster. The International award-winning Documentarian is nominated for a 2012 Oscar for his film, "Saving Face" in the Documentary Short category.

"As a real people and documentary filmmaker, Daniel has been short-listed three years in a row for the Oscar. He is also one of the most aware people I have ever met, which builds this enormous trust with his subjects, making him a ground-breaking filmmaker."
Director Daniel Junge is an Oscar and Emmy Award-nominated documentary filmmaker. His feature films include: "Chiefs," winner of the Tribeca Film Festival and broadcast on PBS; "Iron Ladies of Liberia," which premiered at the Toronto Film Festival and aired on PBS, BBC and 50 other broadcasters; and "They Killed Sister Dorothy," Audience and Jury Winner of South by Southwest Film Festival, broadcast on HBO and Emmy Award-nominated for "outstanding long-form investigative journalism." Junge has made over a dozen other films and television programs, including "The Last Campaign of Governor Booth Gardner," nominated for an Academy Award for Best Documentary Short. Via Futuristic Films, Daniel has taken his filmmaking talents into the commercial world with a series of anti-smoking broadcast PSAs for the state of Wyoming and the branded film "Why We Fly" for Frontier Airlines, which won a Cine Gold Eagle and Silver Telly. Junge is currently working on a CenturyLink commercial project for Futuristic.

So I was intrigued by the idea of joining a company like Futuristic to represent me in this new arena of advertising projects, where authenticity and emotion is desirable. Applying my skills to several recent projects has been liberating, and given me the chance to work with some key talents that I have always wanted to. With Futuristic's Denver office being near me, there is a natural symbiosis, but they are also really good people. That is important to me. Futuristic appears to be on a trajectory as a company, which I am very happy to be part of."
